Youth Class - Candy Machine - Ages 12-17

Join the ReBuilding Center for a fun, hands-on woodworking project! In this class, you’ll learn how to build a homemade candy dispenser perfect for jelly beans, gumballs, or your choice of candy! Using simple materials and tools, you'll cut, assemble, and sand your very own dispenser while learning key woodworking skills like measuring, drilling, and using wood glue.

Participants will get a chance to work on real projects, learn valuable skills, and explore pathways to rewarding careers in the trades.

Topics covered:

  • Basic woodworking techniques

  • Measuring & marking accurately

  • Using chop saws, drills and drives, and finish nail guns safely

Skill level: This workshop is open to youth ages 12-17. No prior experience is necessary. Parent or guardian permission required.

Class Schedule: This class will run for 3 hours with no break planned.

Price: $60Price: We have moved to a sliding scale pricing model while funding allows! Choose which tier fits your situation best:

$75 - Pay-It-Forward Ticket: Helps fund access for others.

$60 - True Cost Ticket: Covers the actual cost of running the class.

$45 - Neighborly Rate Ticket: For those with limited expendable income.
