Open Shop
Come work on your carpentry projects in our education shop during Open Shop hours! You will have access to our tools and space for a 3-hour shift. A shop steward will be on hand to ensure safe practices, but the work is all yours.
You are welcome to attend Open Shop if you have taken either one of our Intro to Carpentry classes or have an existing familiarity with shop tools and safety protocols. Maker & Community Members receive complimentary access, in addition to store & classes discounts, free delivery & pick-up, and other ReBuilding Center perks.
Please email us at education@rebuildingcenter.org if you have questions about project plans, storing materials, or anything else related to Open Shop.
Price: We have moved to a sliding scale pricing model while funding allows! Choose which tier fits your situation best:
$50 - Pay-It-Forward Ticket: Helps fund access for others.
$40 - True Cost Ticket: Covers the actual cost of running the class.
$30 - Neighborly Rate Ticket: For those with limited expendable income.
$20 - Low-Barrier Access Ticket: For those facing financial hardship.
To learn more about our sliding scale model - check out the full explanation here.
Members will need to log in to their account in order to register. Please contact Shiloh Thompson, Volunteer Coordinator, Shiloh@rebuildingcenter.org if you have any problems logging in.
