Are you ready to get your garden started? We can help!

We'll cover some woodworking basics, including: accurate measuring, how to use a chop saw, and options for joining corners. We'll also talk about how you can use your new skills to design and build more garden boxes on your own. 

Each student will build one box that measures approximately 32" long x 16" wide x 11" tall. All cedar wood and hardware provided.

This is a project-based class and you’ll take your garden box home with you. You will need to provide the dirt and plants!

Topics covered:

  • What kinds of materials to use for exterior projects

  • Measuring & marking accurately

  • How to use a chop saw

  • Drills and drivers

  • Ideas for building larger or smaller boxes on your own

Skill level: This class is ideal for beginners ages 18 and over as well as 16 and 17 year-olds with parent or guardian permission

Class Schedule: Class will run for 3 hours with no break planned
